Kingdom Death - Grand Mother by lokmanlam Kingdom Death - Grand Mother by lokmanlam
Few chosen victims survive the treatment of raw god metal that prepares a womb to withstand and nurture the ghastly cocktail that gives rise to the monsters of the Holy Lands. The truly holy mothers are beatified as Grand Mothers, transformed into creatures embodying the maternal life-giving ideal of the Entity. These special few give birth to the Entity's most precious children, the massive winged Blessed Ones. The Grand Mother's womb is braced heavy ornate gut plates. Within, a hostile furnace of creation churns. She has a mouthed cord growing from her belly that devours male organs of her mates to better the chances of divine conception.

The Grand Mother is a rare, horrifying foe, possessing a master the Other and protected by the watchful eye of the Entity itself.

Does a Grand Mother keep the memories of her former life or is her sanity and personality wiped away with her transformation into this?

The backstory of the character in the artwork is kind of disturbing. But other than that keep up the good work.

I would have thought that the womb rest slightly higher in the woman body, as it seems now she is having a tumor in her lower stomach. But other than that, really interesting concept.

Different women carry in different ways, that's why there are so many interesting varieties of pregnant bellies. Personally, I carried very low with both of my sons.

I was truly amazed by this. I've been looking at it for some time, and I'm wondering; why does she wear a helm shaped of a lion, along with two bracelets with a lion's head? Is it another sign to show The Grand Mother is the ruler of certain lands?

Please answer my thoughts, as curiousity drives me insane.

Hi there, thanks for love the artwork, here is the answer from the character creator - Adam Poots :D

I could definately use this for a character in a 40k game, or maybe some other roleplaying game. I love the concept, you should do more like that. although i do have a few questions... is the face on her "gut plate" animated? as in living. or is it just well detailed?
Also, do you have any pictures as to what exactly she gives birth to?

I would like to know more about the "world" she comes from as it looks like you got your own makings of a minature game going on here and it looks pretty awesome.

Instead of the old crumbly and decaying version of Gaea in God of War III, your "grand Mother" clearly is the superior version of a terrifying force of nature. She IS nature personified!

im a little horrified. but then again i guess having my genitalia bitten off so that some chick can hit me up for child support long after i had tried to pull out and ran off with a sex change. Im writing a book by the way. its called "your mouth cant get pregnant". i was originally going to dedicate it to stupid teenagers but i think ill dedicate it to this lovely lady instead.
